Amalgamate

Vertical Oasis

This project proposes an amalgamation of distinct programs and their typologies under a single symbiotic shared space. Leveraging proximity to the railway station and the central bus station, the lower floors are projected to be the beacon of the intersection of social and cultural spaces. Office spaces are stacked above to co-exist. They share open gathering spaces where users can relax and refresh during small breaks from work. The designed facade not only adds aesthetic quotient but also acts as a second skin allowing cross ventilation and passive solar strategies that mimic breathable architecture
.

Embryonic Stage
The form achieved at Stage V was further divided into various spaces at different levels, considering environmental and social sustainability as an integral part of the design
process.

Facade Design
Horizontal and vertical lines will generate two distinct patterns that intersect at various points and levels. Both patterns are combined to form a lattice to mimic the mangroves. Strategically placed planters provide fresh air and cross-ventilation.
